How It Works

Many people don’t live near their aging family members, and there is little time available to make life records. Many loved-ones pass away, with only pictures or home video clips by which to remember them. With their passing goes their life experiences, their significant relationships and a generation of family history.

Oblahdi makes sure that this does not happen. It ensures that lives are never lost and that stories (in the storyteller’s own words) live on forever.

Imagine hearing your grandfather’s voice after he is gone giving you advice and telling you stories of the past. Imagine sharing his stories with your children, not yet born. Oblahdi makes this possible.

Here’s how it works.

  1. You want to record someone’s life story over the phone, so you sign up for access the Oblahdi audio biography guidebook and interview tips

  2. Recording a life story costs $100. To get started, go to My Oblahdi and enter your credit card information. You will be given a dial-in number and pass code as well as an hour and a half of recording time.

  3. When you and your storyteller are ready, dial in, enter your pass code and Oblahdi will connect you.

Recording can be stopped and restarted at any time, in one sitting or over many conversations, and all recording files will be saved right here for you. More recording time is always available, if needed.
